How to get to the BVI from the USA or Canada

There are no direct flights to the British Virgin Islands from the USA or Canada. All flights connect through another Caribbean airport such as Antigua, St Thomas, Puerto Rico, St Kitts or St Maarten

	USA/Canada to Puerto Rico (SJU) or USA/Canada to St Thomas, USVI (STT) Puerto Rico (SJU) to Beef Island, Tortola (EIS) Daily flights available with Air Sunshine, American Eagle, Cape Air. Private charter flights with Fly BVI and Island Birds. St Thomas, USVI (STT) to Beef Island, Tortola (EIS) Daily flights available with Air Sunshine, Cape Air.
	St Thomas, USVI to the BVI (by ferry) A regular ferry service to the British Virgin Islands is available from the ferry terminals at Charlotte Amalie or Red Hook, St Thomas.

	NB: Please ensure you leave plenty of time between your flight arrival and ferry departure. It will take approximately 15 minutes from the airport to reach the ferry dock at Charlotte Amalie by taxi and anything up to an hour to reach Red Hook depending on time of day. The last ferry usually leaves St Thomas, USVI at approximately 4:30pm.
	Passport Requirements US citizens require a valid passport to enter the British Virgin Islands with proof of a return or onward ticket.
