The name of this charming, comfortable and welcoming three-bedroom villa – Alfresco – says it all. Carefully designed to take the fullest possible advantage of the breathtaking ocean views, Alfresco truly maximises all guests’ enjoyment of the great outdoors. Recently built, and finished to a high standard throughout, it features both top-quality furnishings and a number of unique and attractive artworks. Its layout flows smoothly from one area to the next, making the most of the vistas available from literally every corner – even the kitchen sink. It makes a fabulous choice for a rental property in the BVI.
The house consists of essentially two pavilions. The first, containing the living area, has a dramatically high vaulted ceiling. Within this primary space are supremely comfortable sofas, simply perfect for relaxing in at any time of the day or evening, and a first-class TV and audio system. Here – and, indeed, throughout the villa – the doors retract into the walls, providing uninterrupted views; the property is fully screened. The spacious kitchen is well equipped, with granite work surfaces and stainless-steel appliances, and all the other amenities even the most accomplished cook might reasonably require. Next to the kitchen is the open but well-shaded dining area, with seating for up to six guests. It’s a delightful spot in which to enjoy any meal, especially dinner while watching the stunning oranges and reds of the late-evening sky.
Bordered by a wide, tiled deck area, the amply proportioned infinity pool has colour-changing LED lights, which previous guests report to have made quite a talking point during their stay. Chaise lounges, a dining table and chairs, and not least a gas-fired BBQ grill, furnish the deck.
The second pavilion, over on the far side of the pool, contains two bedrooms, one above the other. On the upper floor is the inviting master suite, with a bespoke bed from the iconic island of Bali, and an ensuite bathroom with a generously sized walk-in shower. Below this area is another king suite which if necessary – and with prior notice – can be made up with twin beds. The third bedroom, with a low, four-poster queen-size bed, is situated beneath the living room, and is accessed by steps from the west side of the deck area. This bedroom is extremely private.
This overall arrangement makes Alfresco the perfect choice for couples or singles, or indeed families with older children. Alfresco is a very romantic property, and an outstanding villa for guests looking for something that little bit special – perhaps to celebrate either a honeymoon or a significant anniversary.
